I'm playing the Amiga version. I want to re-enter my home (to get pillow) but I can't use NE direction from Garden. When I type NE I got a message that fences are blocking my way. How to get home?
Second thing: how to buy train ticket? It costs 20$ and I have enough money. Typing "buy ticket" etc. doesn't work.
Also there is a bug because at some point the same perfume appears in your pocket twice and is unusable.
Thanks for the comments! The house disappearing and making you unable to go back is actually part of the games mechanic as it's based on trial and error, so if you later realize that you might need something from home I'd suggest remembering that and taking it with you on your next run. Buying the ticket should work normally, perhaps you didn't take it? After you write "buy ticket" a "You put 20$... prints you a ticket" message should appear, after that you need to "take ticket" or else it will just stay in the machine. Thank you for pointing that perfume bug out! Fixing that bug for all versions would be a bit too much effort on our side but if we do release a bigger update (which is rather unlikely) we'll make sure to consider that one! If it causes any troubles like taking up too much space in the inventory, you can remove it by using "drop perfume".
Buying ticket does not work. When I type "buy ticket" computer asks "do you mean ticket machine or the train ticket?". I type "train ticket" and get "nothing is on sale" message. When I try to "take ticket" the answer is "that's fixed in place".
Dropping perfume when it appears twice in pocket is impossible. When I type "drop perfume" computer asks "do you mean the perfume or the perfume?".
I think that current release of "Memory Lane" (for Amiga at least) is bugged and needs an update. Posting the solution on-line could also be a good idea.
hullo! before i play this, i'd just like to say that on the ifdb, you have the story file set as 'no story file'. you actually have a z3 and a z5 file avaliable, so if you want to, feel free to update that description! now i'm gonna go play the game. thanks
Thanks for the comment and for playing the game. I've uploaded the file to the ifdb database a few days ago. I think, it takes some time until gets visible there.

Now it's in place at https://www.ifarchive.org/if-archive/games/zcode/memorylane.z5
Thank you. I added it to the ifdb so that it can be played online directly from there:

Looking good! Tip: Story data blocks are marked as free on C64 disk, so if player saves on the disk it can destroy the game.
Thanks for your hint and for helping to fix it! :-)
+3 version does not load
The Spectrum +3 version requires CP/M. For further instructions also check: https://github.com/ByteProject/Puddle-BuildTools/tree/master/Build/Releases
